I'm not going to predict who's going to win today, but I am going to stick my neck out a little on New Mexico. Due to the snowstorm, I predict that fewer Democrats than Republicans are going to brave the elements, and Bush will win the Land of Enchantment (ever hear of "broken glass Republicans"?).
Well, I gotta go. The polls open in 16 minutes and didn't get a chance to vote early like I wanted to last Friday; by the time I left work it was too late (don't you just hate those overachieving Republicans?).
Sorry, dude, but New Mexico is going Kerry in the early exit polls, and early polls favor Republicans because Democrats have to get off work before they vote.
SLAM: I refuted both your NM prediction and your claim about "overachieving Republicans" in one statement. THAT'S overachievement!
Don't count your chickens before they're hatched! From the Drudge Report: "CAUTION: Early 2000 exit polls showed Gore +3 in Florida; showed Gore-Bush even in CO [Bush won by 9], 2000 exits showed Gore +4 in AZ [Bush won by 6]]." As we learned four years ago, it ain't over till the litigation ends. Plus I believe PA veterans overseas have until November 12 to get their absentee ballots in. Like I said, I'm sticking my neck out a little re NM, but beyond that, it's anybody's guess.
