That day certainly seems much closer now. And that day might yet come.

But not today.

Keep fighting -- because you have children;
Keep fighting -- because you will have children;
Keep fighting -- because America always was more dream than reality;
Keep fighting -- because empire kills;
Keep fighting -- because reason, art and intellect are what makes us human;
Keep fighting -- because science saves;
Keep fighting -- because you have gay friends, or
Keep fighting -- because you are gay;
Keep fighting -- because you have female friends and lovers or because you are female;
Keep fighting -- for all people, red and yellow, black and white . . .
Keep fighting -- because the best things in life aren't things;
Keep fighting -- for a billion billion reasons, but, ultimately,
Keep fighting -- because there's nothing else to do.
