Pro-lifers aren't truly "pro-life". Over 100,000 civilians, mostly women and children, have been slaughtered in Iraq and I don't see con$ervatives losing any sleep over it. But if someone tried to open an abortion clinic in Iraq you can bet they would raise hell. It is just a war of ideology at this point, much like hate amendments that "protect the sanctity of marriage." They don't prevent homosexuality, don't prevent gay wedding ceremonies and makes little difference in the grand scheme of things, but it feels good to kick sand in the face of a group they don't like.
