The Democratic Manifesto

Black Maned Pensator, blogging on DailyKos, produced a thought-provoking rant today. It is not a new concept that Dems can create an alternative "Contract with America", and do in '06 what Gingrich et al. did in '94. But the manifesto Pensator creates, while overly long for an advertisement, is well-written and does cover the right ground. Check it out at the link above, and, if you feel up to it, try using it as a starting point and see if you can do better. I don't think the means Pensator suggests for spreading this message are sufficient, but would be a good start. Pensator's point that this is a positive exercise that moves us off of defensive, tactical politics is correct, and something we should think about.
