texas young democrats fundraiser

One thing that encourages me like nothing else is to go to a Democratic meetup or meeting and see young faces. That's why- for those of you who still don't get it- the Dean campaign was so exciting and so important. But whether or not you understand that, surely everyone sees that we can't coast much longer on the support of octogenarians who joined up when FDR saved America. Along those lines, Andrew from Burnt Orange Report writes:

Right now we have an online fundraiser going on called “Turn the Capitol Blue” oriented around the special session. For the next 21 days we are trying to get $181 a day-- $1 for every legislator for the rest of the special session—for a grand total of just under $4,000. We plan on using this money to continue our rebuilding efforts around the state. This money will go a long way and every penny counts.
