If my calculations are correct...

...a 5% reduction in military spending would save our country something like eleventy gazillion dollars a year, but that's off the table. I know people around here tend not to go for that sort of thing since Amarillo would dry up and blow away without the rivers of government money that flow like water into city coffers, but would America still be safe with say 25 Ospreys instead of 30? Or just enough nukes to destroy human civilization 8 times over instead of 10? I mean, if government spending is that big a deal...
