Getting to know Sarah

Need to express a few more thoughts on Palin:

1. Experience: Unlike Obama, no NATIONAL experience, either domestic policy or national security.
-The PTA counts? WTF?
-Alaska is right next to Russia, so neaaahhhh. Seriously righties?

2. Women are a bunch of non-thinking sheep, especially Hillary PUMA's, and will flock to Palin.
-Palin loves her some b*tch jokes about a cancer surviving member of her own frikkin' party.
-She is a religious nut.
-Palin; she did not like Hillary's "Whining"

3. She is a reformer.
-Nope she advocated for the bridge to nowhere, before being a veep candidate. Mrs. Prodigal Son's boy calls that lying.
-Troopergate

4. Her hubby is works for BP, he's not a folksy fisherman.

Ok . . . let's not get overconfident. The cutsey gal with spunk boolsheet can go a long way. How do we pivot and put the focus back on McSames shitty judgement?

OH YEAH, per Begala.

For a man who is 72 years old and has had four bouts with cancer to have chosen someone so completely unqualified to become president is shockingly irresponsible. Suddenly, McCain’s age and health become central issues in the campaign, as does his judgment.

In choosing this featherweight, McCain passed over Tom Ridge, a decorated combat hero, a Cabinet secretary and the former two-term governor of the large, complex state of Pennsylvania.

He passed over Mitt Romney, who ran a big state, Massachusetts; a big company, Bain Capital; and a big event, the Olympics.

He passed over Kay Bailey Hutchison, the Texas senator who is knowledgeable about the military, good on television, and — obviously — a woman.

He passed over Joe Lieberman, his best friend in the Senate and fellow Iraq Kool-Aid drinker.

He passed over former congressman, trade negotiator and budget director Rob Portman.

And he also passed over Mike Huckabee, the governor of Arkansas.

For months, the McCainiacs have said they will run on his judgment and experience. In his first presidential decision, John McCain has shown he is willing to endanger his country, potentially leaving it in the hands of someone who simply has no business being a heartbeat away from the most powerful, complicated, difficult job in human history.

Who the Blank is Palin

Let's run it down:

1. McCain is 72 years old.
2. He's had four bouts of cancer.
3. His VP choice has zero experience in foreign policy or national security.

Listen to McSames chief lobbyist and top campaign advisor, "She’s going to learn national security at the foot of the master for the next four years, and most doctors think that he’ll be around at least that long,” said Charlie Black, one of Mr. McCain’s top advisers, making light of concerns about Mr. McCain’s health, which Mr. McCain’s doctors reported as excellent in May."

Ok . . . she will be brought up to speed by gramps and learn on the job, you know, like night school.

My fav comment so far from demophoenix, "But what's the message? Elect us or the Chinese will be in New York? Wait, don't they already own most of it?"

teh funny . . . continue the discussion in comments, this is fun!

History

UPDATE: When Pat Buchanan blubbers on about Obama's speech, you know McSame is in trouble.

-Prodigal Son

Wow. Watched Obama's speech. It fuzzed up a little when I teared up. I woke up the kids clapping . . .

Tonight, the party of Jefferson, FDR, JFK, WJK, hell lets be real a minute . . . the party of frikkin' WALLACE, nominated someone who is not a WASP for president, and it was a home run for this country. And it was the democratic party that did it.

Know the thing that struck me most? As the cspan camera looked around, there were several middle age AA faces with tears streaming. Can you imagine? They have lived fear hate and discrimination. They have heard of and maybe seen the lynchings, the oppressive poverty, the injustices and assassinations done . . .

But Barack came out, rightfully, as the kid down the street that done good. No money, single parent, raised by grandparents, busted his ass to make it, and who NEVER forgot his beginning . . . that's the guy I want at the top.

But, we need to watch out. . . the villagers hated Clinton because he was not a blueblood. Cokie's claws are already out, one skinny blue-veined hand clutching a mimosa in a champagne glass at 7 am.

Obama also came out punching hard, and good thing. the GOP is evil, vile, and hateful. Rove is in big with McCain's campaign. Next week is going to be a dangerous one for America and Democrats because there is nothing more dangerous than a cornered, wounded, rabid, insane dog, which is all the rethugs have been for 20 years.

Lastly, if you were watching MSGOP or the conservative news network you missed the benediction. It ended with a lost, unique, American ideal. Youtube it soon.

More tomorrow. G-damn proud to be an American tonight. One more woodford and coke, and a kiss for the kiddos with a hope that they won't be shackled to another George Bush via McCain. And it will be better for them.

PS: GET YOUR OABAMA YARD SIGN OUT FRONT IMMEDIATELY!!! That is all . . .

Texas GOP, Racist Horse Molesters

Some people say that Texas republicans molest horses . . . see how easy that was! LOL.

The Texas GOP has released an anti-Obama ad with a not-so subtle racism taint (OF COURSE!) If you have to, play it for a laugh . . .

"If Barack Obama cares so much about your family, why doesn't he take care of his own family first?" the ad's narrator asks, before bringing up George Obama, Obama's half brother, who lives in Kenya." WTF?

Obama's Dad left his mom when he was 2! I mean, Obama extended an open invitation to the guy to come to the States. Beyond that what else is he supposed to do? He met his brother WHEN he was grown, they never shared a home or relationship.

Cindy McCain has TWO 1/2 sisters, but Cindikins says she was an only child. One sister, Kathleen Hensely Portalski, only got $10k when daddy warbucks kicked off, but Cindster got $100 million.

Why doesn't Cindy take care of her own family????

Once Again, With Feeling This Time

Hey Debra Bartoshevich, I know you are upset that Hill did not get the nomination, and then you got mad and were thrown out as a Wisconsin delegate for not supporting THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE for president for cripes sake. . .

Oh yeah, and then you use the rethug slur "Democrat Party" instead democratic on a conference call with the local folks (Listen HERE)

And now you show up in a frikkin ad for Gramps McCain.

Ok . . . if you vote for the Republican nominee for President you are NOT a democrat, you are a turncoat. Is there a way to expunge these Liebermans from the party already?

Tax plans from the candidates

What Obama is going to do is fix the financial mess the current administration has burdened us with. There are tough decisions to be made. I would be surprised if budget cuts were not included in both plans.

Conservatives Want you Dead

Too harsh?

I was saddened and disturbed about the prominent Arkansas Democratic party chairman Bill Gwatney gunned down this week at democratic party headquarters.

Closer by to where I live, a man gunned down a Unitarian church full of of innocents in Knoxville after writing a liberal hate filled screed.

So why would these two pick liberal targets? Could it be because of this?

"I tell people don't kill all the liberals. Leave enough so we can have two on every campus -- living fossils -- so we will never forget what these people stood for." -- Rush Limbaugh

"I would have no problem with [New York Times editor Bill Keller] being sent to the gas chamber." -- Melanie Morgan

"[T]he day will come when unpleasant things are going to happen to a bunch of stupid liberals and it's going to be very amusing to watch." -- Lee Rogers

"Howard Dean should be arrested and hung for treason or put in a hole until the end of the Iraq war!"-- Michael Reagan

"We need to execute people like John Walker in order to physically intimidate liberals, by making them realize that they can be killed too." -- Ann Coulter

And Joe Wilson has no right to complain. And I think people like Tim Russert and the others, who gave this guy such a free ride and all the media, they're the ones to be shot, not Karl Rove. -- Rep. Peter King (R)

I have never heard any liberal talk show host, or party stalwart egg on the killing of conservatives. The silence of the so-called "values" and "Christian" Repubs when their side continuously says this stuff is pretty thunderous. But, IOKIYAR

Just sayin . . .

Simple Truth

Digby does some good highlighting about Obamacans. HERE

Peeps, I have been bugged by a line in the article she links to, "In fact, John McCain's share of the Democratic vote has typically--and surprisingly--been larger than Obama's share of the Republican vote."

So quick question here . . . If you vote for the republicans in national elections are you a really a Democrat?

To me . . . NO. Local and state elections are one thing, but if you vote for McCain and you are a registered democrat, you are just another a**hole Joe Lieberman. This election is too important to not have HUGE party unity.

What do you think?

. . . Paris Hilton?

I agree with Chris Bowers: "They [McCain] have gotten into a spat with Paris Hilton, which there is basically no way to win. Hilton has nothing to lose, and the back and forth just highlights the frivolic idiocy of McCain's recent attacks."

What did McCain think? That she would be too busy working to respond? Did he think she would just pass up a chance to be in the spotlight?

Holy f!@# Paris Hilton just influenced a presidential election, LOL. This might be more fun than I thought.

Thank You Jake Tapper

Jake Tapper NAILS John McCain's "Obama is a Celeb" boolsheet.

The Elitist Celebrity Quiz

Which presidential candidate hosted Saturday Night Live (hint -- the musical guests were The White Stripes)?

Which one had cameos on "24" and "Wedding Crashers"?

Whose wife secretly got her pilot's license and owns a jet?

Who is pals with Warren Beatty?

Whose daughter is friends with Heidi from MTV's The Hills?

Whose wife once told Vogue, explaining the purchase of a 7th or 8th house, this one a beach house, "When I bought the first one, my husband, who is not a beach person, said, 'Oh this is such a waste of money; the kids will never go. Then it got to the point where they used it so much I couldn't get in the place. So I bought another one.”

Whose family credit cards have been known to ring up more than $500,000 in charges in one month?

Obama needs to start hitting back RIGHT NOW. McCain will say/do anything to be POTUS including racism and lies because he has no vision for our country.

A more permanent solution to the troll problem will hopefully be forthcoming.

While we wait and debate, here's some reading material.

I currently have 301 unread PTS comments in Google Reader. Due to encroachments from the offline world-- which still exists for the non-trolls here-- I haven't had much time lately. So if you've been trolling me personally, I afraid you've been wasting your time.

Sadly, that doesn't bode well for my promptness at getting comments approved.

Sorry about that.
