At an impromptu news conference this morning, as the president was leaving the White House for his ranch in Crawford, Texas, he admitted to having made major errors in judgment regarding the war in Iraq. Mr. Bush said he would be gathering his war cabinet and other advisors for "a major rethink". The president, in an uncharacteristically reflective mood, also suggested that he needed to be more "forthright" and read more.
